The Acceptable Ads Committee is an independent nonprofit that sets and oversees the Acceptable Ads Standard. Users have a direct voice in that work, with representatives who vote alongside industry and expert representatives.

The Standard makes fair ad blocking possible: protecting users’ experience while allowing respectful ads that help keep the websites they love freely available.
